CH Rooster x CH Fizz puppies: two-weeks old today!
LOVE these puppies!!
So tempted to keep one of these puppies!
Puppies will be leaving for their forever homes this week. It is the end of watching these babies grow and develop but the beginning of their new lives in their forever homes. I feel very fortunate to have been invited out to play with puppies frequently and watch these babies grow. Such a consistent, healthy litter!
I’m so very proud of the CH Rooster x Charlie puppies… I know they will bring much joy to their new families!
I’m so proud of these puppies out of Miss Charlie and my boy, Rooster
Time seems to have flown by (especially since I’m not the one caring for the puppies)! The Rooster x Charlie puppies will be 7-weeks old next Monday (4/22/19); I can hardly wait to see them all one more time before they all start heading off to their new homes.
Puppies were born March 4th: 5 boys and 4 girls.
I did get to go see puppies when they were two weeks old. Darling, darling babies!
Puppies did a lot of growing in just a few short weeks. Out to “play with puppies” again on April 3rd when they were 4.5 weeks old:
And before you know it… Puppies are 6 weeks old! These are VERY pretty puppies but I may be just a tad biased? I’m so excited for the new owners who also have been out to meet all the babies. Pups will go to their new homes in just a little over a week now. Fortunately, I’m going to see them one more time before they leave their Momma and first home. And take more photos, of course!
This Puppy Doesn’t Look Like A Puppy Any Longer!
I was sent this photo of a Rooster x Trevi puppy (born October 27, 2017). LOVE seeing puppies growing up with their new families! THANK YOU to Sandy for keeping me updated. I see so much of Rooster in this puppy.
In this last stage of pregnancy, Deja is sleeping alot!
So much to do yet… OH BOY! Thank goodness it is almost the weekend! It’s time to get things “set up”!
Twelve days to go and…
We got puppy movement!
We got milk!
Rooster is sniffing Deja’s ear wondering why she is always “resting”?
P.S. ALL the dogs LOVE lying on the concrete floor even though they have more comfortable places to lie/sleep on! The concrete is nice and cool especially when the temps rise!
Rooster x Trevi pup out field training with his committed owners!
So happy to receive photos of Gaddy, a Rooster x Trevi puppy, who has been out field training! Now I imagine the water is still cold yet this pup is swimming away!
I give all the credit for this puppy’s abilities to his owners; their commitment in training will make this boy a great field dog!
All Goldens have this ability but it takes perseverance and consistency in training to teach a dog (any animal) exactly what you want him or her to do. Kudos go to Gaddy’s owners!
Happy six-month birthday, Gaddy, and to all the puppies in this litter! You are growing up into such a beautiful boy! You make your daddy, Rooster, proud as well as all the dogs in your beautiful pedigree! HUGS to you!!

Time flies… Never take it for granted!
As the Rooster X Avery puppies go to their new homes, it made me think of Rooster when he was younger (he is 6 years old now). Going through old photos always brings mixed feelings… Some wonderful memories but also some sad ones thinking of dogs no longer with me. But seeing the 8 week old pups sired by Rooster… Just DARLING!
Rooster is ALWAYS ready for a game of “fetch” or “tug”. I found this old photo of Rooster as a young pup playing tug with my old girl, Luna. Luna was always very patient with puppies and young dogs but she wasn’t going to just give up a toy either! I miss Luna very much; she was my constant shadow.
It is hard looking back on old photos. They always bring to mind so many memories. Here, Rooster is only two years old or so out in our pasture waiting for me to throw that ball. His natural stance is practically perfect! Now like back then, he looks better with less handling. It is hard to imagine that 7-8 week-old puppy has now grown up into the champion (almost grand champion) I believed he would be when he was just a pup.
Time flies for all of us! Remember to hug your doggies and never take them for granted. If I was to find a fault with “(wo)man’s best friend”, it would be they are never with us long enough.
Puppies growing; start on solid food.
Seven puppies IS a lot for mom but Avery is doing a wonderful job with her babies!
I can hardly believe the Rooster X Avery puppies are already four weeks old! Time seems to just fly by!! I am so thankful Sandy, who chose Rooster for the sire of Avery puppies, keeps me “in the loop” by sending puppy photos. And here I share those photos with you…
Puppies smell “mom” and make their way to the “milk bar”!
Aww… Miss Lavender seems lost in finding mom! How cute to see pups squirm to get to the “milk bar”! Mom is Avery; pups sired by our boy, CH Rooster.
While it may seem like a good idea to help this puppy, it is so important for the puppies’s development to move on their own. If helped, which I frequently do with my puppies, it can lead to development delays in learning how to use their legs to walk later. Having had this problem with my last litter of puppies, I will, from now on, cheer them from afar as they learn to move on their own!
P.S. Thank you, Sandy, for sending me this vid! Too cute to NOT share!!

So happy to hear Avery and pups are doing well. 5 girls and 2 boys!
HUGE congrats to Miss Avery whelping her 7 puppies (5 girls; 2 boys) in the wee hours this morning! Rooster? Well, the guy is definitely smoking his cigar patting himself on the back, LOL!
Mom and puppies are doing well, I’m told. I predicted Avery’s due date to be tomorrow; I guess the babies were ready sooner so… Here they are!
